10:22 a.m. — A man in Hillman Library reported that his ID and money were taken.

11:23 a.m. — Officers assisted Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic security with the return of a patient.

1:35 p.m. — A man reported the theft of items from his office in the Cathedral of Learning. An investigation is pending.

7:07 p.m. — Three juveniles were cited for trespassing in Posvar Hall.

10:19 p.m. — A staff member in the William Pitt Union reported the theft of a media equipment bag. The bag was later recovered and the person who took it was given a trespassing warning.

10:33 p.m. — An officer cited a driver and had the driver’s vehicle towed for driving with a suspended license at the intersection of Fifth and Lytton avenues.

Tuesday, April 4

4:23 a.m. — Police arrested non-affiliate Fred Harris, of no fixed address, for defiant trespass in Litchfield Towers.

7:21 a.m. — A fire alarm in Biomedical Science Tower 3 was activated by construction activities.

7:29 a.m. — A fire alarm in Litchfield Towers was activated by a faulty water flow switch.

10:52 a.m. — Someone in Biomedical Science Tower 3 reported receiving a suspicious e-mail. An investigation is pending.

11:05 a.m. — Someone in Posvar Hall reported receiving an unwanted e-mail.

11:17 a.m. — A man in Lothrop Hall reported receiving harassing phone calls on his cell phone. An investigation is pending.

11:31 a.m. — A woman reported the off-campus theft of her purse in Swissvale.

2:35 p.m. — Officers checked on a group of high school students in the 100 block of Ruskin Avenue who were carrying a construction barrel and a traffic cone. The incident was referred to city police.

2:41 p.m. — A faculty member reported the theft of a student’s property from a classroom.

2:57 p.m. — A member of Sigma Alpha Epsilon reported the theft of an amplifier. An investigation is pending.

8:17 p.m. — A man reported the theft of his book bag and its contents from the Cost Center.

8:26 p.m. — Officers assisted city police with a domestic disturbance call in the 300 block of Bouquet Street.

8:48 p.m. — A fire alarm in Detre Hall was accidentally activated by a staff member.

Wednesday, April 5

1:42 a.m. — Non-affiliate Kenneth J. McConeghy, of McKees Rocks, Pa., was cited for defiant trespass in Hillman Library.

1:44 a.m. — Officers responded to a domestic disturbance report in the garage of Litchfield Towers. The involved parties had already separated before the police arrived.

12:55 p.m. — Someone reported the loss of two envelopes in or around the Cathedral of Learning.

7:13 p.m. — An officer took a report of a minor auto accident involving a Pitt shuttle in the driveway of the William Pitt Union.

9:07 p.m. — A woman in the Cathedral of Learning reported the theft of her credit cards. An investigation is pending.

Thursday, April 6

8:04 a.m. — The fire alarm system in Litchfield Towers was activated when a vehicle knocked a pull station from the wall.

1:05 p.m. — An officer extinguished a trash-can fire in the 100 block of Thackeray Street.

2:16 p.m. — The parking office reported the theft of a parking boot. An investigation is pending.

4:43 p.m. — A woman in Bouquet Gardens reported smelling something burning in the dryer she was using. The machine was taken out of service and an engineer was notified.

5:06 p.m. — An officer reported a water leak in Salk Hall.

9:53 p.m. — Officers checked on the welfare of a student in the 3700 block of Dawson Street. The student could not be located. An investigation is pending.

11:41 p.m. — Student Mathew Castiglia, of Pocono Summit, Pa., was cited for underage drinking in Litchfield Tower C.

Friday, April 7

2:25 a.m. — Police cited student Wellington Wu, of Glenn Mills, Pa., for disorderly conduct in the 3900 block of Forbes Avenue.

4:04 a.m. — Officers assisted city police with a person who was robbed on the corner of Craig Street and Centre Avenue.
