2. Mario Lemieux and Patrick Roy were born on the exact same day, Oct. 5, 1965. Both were born in the province of Quebec. Lemieux was born in Montreal; Roy was born in Quebec City.

3. Barry Bonds has hit six of his 708 home runs on Opening Day, two with the Pirates. His rookie salary in 1986 was a mere $60,000 and when he won his first MVP in 1990, Bonds made $850,000. Bonds’ salary for 14 games in 2005: $22 Million.
