12:14 p.m. – An officer reported that a loose Pitt banner at the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Bouquet Street was causing a hazard. A service employee was sent to remove the banner.

5:55 p.m. – A smoke detector was activated in a cooking area of the Petersen Events Center. No fire was found.

6:07 p.m. – A man in Posvar Hall reported that his cell phone was stolen.

7:16 p.m. – Someone reported being robbed on the stairs behind Eberly Hall. An investigation is pending.

8:18 p.m. – A woman reported the unauthorized use of her cell phone at an unknown off-campus location. An investigation is pending.

9:33 p.m. – Police arrested non-affiliate Mohommad Askia Hafiz, of McKeesport, Pa., for presenting false ID to law enforcement authorities and for possession of drug paraphernalia at the intersection of Atwood Street and Euler Way.

Thursday, March 16

3:53 a.m. – A man reported the theft of his license plate near the Falk School.

4:37 p.m. – Non-affiliate Joseph Geiger, of 405 Oakland Ave., was arrested on an outstanding warrant from the county jail.

11:44 p.m. – Police cited student Amanda Schieber, of Doylestown, Pa., for underage drinking in Litchfield Towers.

Friday, March 17

12:43 a.m. – A fire alarm in the Zeta Beta Tau house was activated by people smoking.

1:15 a.m. – When officers responded to a fire alarm activated in the Zeta Beta Tau house, they confiscated a small amount of marijuana. An investigation is pending.

1:17 a.m. – Non-affiliate Robert Haskins, of Verona, Pa., was arrested for driving under the influence in the 3900 block of Forbes Avenue.

2:39 a.m. – Officers assisted city police with an assault victim at the intersection of Sennott and Bouquet streets.
