12:25 p.m. – A leak from a relief valve in the Soldiers and Sailors parking lot activated a fire alarm.

Saturday, Dec. 24

3:47 p.m. – Police arrested non-affiliate Richard Doaks, of 7326 Monticello St., on an outstanding warrant, at the intersection of Forbes Avenue and Atwood Street.

Sunday, Dec. 25

1:34 a.m. – An officer assisted city police with an auto accident on Bates Street.

Tuesday, Dec. 27

12:54 a.m. – An engineer released a person who was stuck in an elevator in the Chevron Science Center.

Wednesday, Dec. 28

1:29 p.m. – Police arrested non-affiliate John J. Pugliano, of West Mifflin, Pa., on a summons arrest for retail theft.

3:47 p.m. – An officer cited a driver and towed a vehicle at 3501 Fifth Ave., because the vehicle’s registration had been suspended.

11:51 p.m. – Officers assisted city police with the arrest of two suspects in a robbery in the 100 block of Oakland Avenue.

Thursday, Dec. 29

5:38 a.m. – Non-affiliate Harold Meltzer, of no fixed address, was cited for defiant trespass in Posvar Hall.

8:58 a.m. – Police arrested non-affiliate Lester Smith, of Mount Oliver, Pa., on an outstanding warrant from Mount Oliver.

2:03 p.m. – A woman in Lothrop Hall reported that her wallet was stolen.

2:29 p.m. – Officers checked Biomedical Science Tower 3 for reportedly unauthorized people. The people were found and discovered to be contractors.

4:33 p.m. – An officer assisted city police with an auto accident report.

8:23 p.m. – Police assisted city police in searching a building at 200 Meyran Ave. The incident was cleared.

Friday, Dec. 30

3:33 a.m. – Non-affiliate Amber Beth Mitchel, of New Castle, Pa., was arrested for driving under the influence in the 3500 block of Forbes Avenue.

2:58 p.m. – An officer assisted Children’s Hospital in towing a vehicle in the 300 block of Oakland Avenue.

4:09 p.m. – A woman reported finding damage to her car in the University Drive lot when she returned to it after work.

Saturday, Dec. 31

4:10 a.m. – Police cited non-affiliate Russell Lee Wilner, of Indiana, Pa., for defiant trespass in Posvar Hall.

Sunday, Jan. 1

1:09 a.m. – Police cited non-affiliate Charles E. Dumont, of 1155 Greentree Road, for disorderly conduct in the 100 block of South Bouquet Street.

Tuesday, Jan. 3

11:49 a.m. – The fire alarm manual pull station on the seventh floor of the Cathedral of Learning was falsely activated.

4:16 p.m. – Police arrested non-affiliate Kelvin Organ, of 6624 Dalzell Pl., for providing false ID to law enforcement.

5:53 p.m. – A man in Lothrop Hall reported the theft of his wallet.

7:34 p.m. – A guard in Trees Hall reported finding damage to a vending machine.

8:51 p.m. – A fire alarm in Detre Hall was activated by burned popcorn.

Wednesday, Jan. 4

1:02 a.m. – A custodian in David Lawrence Hall reported finding damage to a vending machine.

9:35 a.m. – Someone in Scaife Hall reported the theft of computer components. An investigation is pending.

10:04 a.m. – A man in the Fitzgerald Field House reported the theft of his camera bag and its contents. An investigation is pending.

10:48 a.m. – An officer cited and towed a car that was parked in a restricted area near Biomedical Science Tower 3.

4:53 p.m. – Officers cited and towed cars that were parked in areas posted no parking for the basketball game on O’Hara Street, Bigelow Boulevard and Desoto Street.

5:22 p.m. – An officer and an engineer assisted a person who had an article of clothing caught in an escalator in Posvar Hall.

5:35 p.m. – Officers took an accident report for a minor accident on Sutherland Drive.

7:37 p.m. – Police checked David Lawrence Hall for reportedly unauthorized people but were unable to find them.
