11:10 a.m. – A pedestrian reported that a driver at the intersection of Centre and Melwood avenues pointed a gun at him. Pitt Police forwarded the report to city police.

11:51 a.m. – Officers assisted UPMC Security with a patient who was causing a disturbance.

2:16 p.m. – Someone reported the theft of cash in the Cathedral of Learning. An investigation is pending.

3:35 p.m. – A person stuck in an elevator in David Lawrence Hall was released by an officer.

Friday, Dec. 2

12:27 a.m. – Non-affiliate Robert G. Pope, of Elizabeth, Pa., was arrested at the intersection of O’Hara and Desoto streets for driving under the influence and fleeing police.

7:56 p.m. – Contractors reported that a window on a trailer behind Pennsylvania Hall had been broken.

6:14 p.m. – A person with an illness was transported to the hospital by patrol car.

9:22 p.m. – Police cited student Jacob Scott Grossetti, of New Castle, Pa., for underage drinking in Litchfield Tower A.

Saturday, Dec. 3

12:24 a.m. – Police transported a man who said that he was ill to the hospital by patrol car.

1:39 a.m. – Student Antonio Rivera-Valera, of Great Falls, Va., was cited near the SC Lot for underage drinking.

1:55 a.m. – Police cited student Varun Rambhala, of Allison Park, Pa., for underage drinking in Forbes Hall.

2:35 a.m. – A University-owned shrub was pulled from the ground in the 300 block of Oakland Avenue.

3:48 a.m. – An officer found a broken window in the RA office of Sutherland Hall.

8:45 p.m. – An officer took a report of a one vehicle accident in the Stephen Foster parking lot.

Sunday, Dec. 4

12:54 a.m. – An officer found a fire extinguisher that had been discharged in Bouquet Gardens.

1:30 a.m. – Someone pulled a fire alarm falsely in Bouquet Gardens.

2:57 a.m. – An officer reported the theft of his wallet, police ID and badge from his car in the Strip District. The theft was reported to city police.

4:59 p.m. – Officers cited and towed cars parked in several campus locations that were marked for the basketball game.

10:39 p.m. – Someone reported the theft of a pair of jeans from the Litchfield Towers laundry room.

10:48 p.m. – Officers moderated a dispute between a student and her guest. The non-affiliate left the area.

Monday, Dec. 5

4:18 a.m. – An officer escorted an unauthorized person who was found sleeping in the men’s bathroom of Posvar Hall out of the building.

10:25 a.m. – Someone reported finding a mailbag in an unusual location in the Learning Research and Development Center. The mailbag was returned to the proper person.

12:07 p.m. – An officer found a stolen car at the intersection of Atwood and Sennott streets. The car was stolen in Munhall. Pitt Police notified the Munhall Police Department.

2:01 p.m. – A woman reported the theft of a textbook in Hillman Library.

4:06 p.m. – A woman reported that one of her textbooks was stolen in Hillman Library.

6:57 p.m. – Someone reported being robbed on University Drive. An investigation is pending.

7:00 p.m. – A woman reported that she was robbed by two men near the intersection of Centre Avenue and Dithridge Street. The woman also filed a report with city police. An investigation is pending.

Tuesday, Dec. 6

8:56 a.m. – Someone in Sennott Square reported receiving harassing phone calls. An investigation is pending.

9:39 a.m. – A person who had taken ill was transported to the hospital by Pittsburgh Medics.

12:29 p.m. – A man reported that he was robbed at the intersection of Semple and Louisa streets on Dec. 5. The man also filed a report with city police.

1:40 p.m. – An officer responded to an accident on Forbes and Bellefield avenues. The accident involved a University vehicle.

2:58 p.m. – Someone in Benedum Hall reported receiving harassing phone calls. An investigation is pending.

3:43 p.m. – An officer assisted city police in making a warrant arrest.

Wednesday, Dec. 7

3:11 p.m. – A woman reported that her purse was stolen from the Cathedral of Learning.

5:03 p.m. – A woman reported that she lost her purse in Alumni Hall.

8:06 p.m. – A man reported that he was robbed by four men on the steps behind the Chevron Science Center. An investigation is pending.

8:08 p.m. – Someone in Pennsylvania Hall was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia. A complaint was filed with the Judicial Board.
