On the day of the bombings, students were in St. Petersburg, Russia. They are currently en route to Gdansk, Poland. The ship will visit Antwerp, Belgium, before docking in London from July 25 to July 29.
“As things stand now, we don’t anticipate any changes to the itinerary,” Paul Watson, Semester at Sea’s director of enrollment management, said.
He added that Semester at Sea would continue to consult a variety of sources — including the U.S. Department of State — to protect the safety of the students.
The University would not comment on the matter.
