9:45 a.m. — A staff member at Alumni Hall turned over… Wednesday, Feb. 9

9:45 a.m. — A staff member at Alumni Hall turned over keys she had found on the fifth floor. The item was placed in recovered property.

10:31 a.m. — A person at Lothrop Hall reported the theft of mail from the mail delivery cart. An investigation is pending.

11:15 a.m. — A man in David Lawrence Hall reported the theft of his computer. An investigation is pending.

11:53 a.m. — A man at Falk Clinic reported the theft of his DVD player.

12:47 p.m. — Someone in the Old Engineering Hall reported being harassed by a known person.

1:24 p.m. — Someone at the Einstein’s Bagels shop in Posvar Hall turned over found property. The items were placed in recovered property.

2:03 p.m. — A person reported the theft of a cell phone.

3:32 p.m. — A person reported losing keys in the upper campus area.

5:26 p.m. — Nonaffiliate James Butler, of 311 Arabella St., was arrested at Fifth Avenue and Ruskin Street on a warrant issued by city police for simple assault.

5:54 p.m. — A man reported the theft of items from his van, which was parked in the P Lot. An investigation is pending.

5:58 p.m. — Computer lab staff in the Cathedral of Learning turned over a set of keys found in the lab. The item was placed in recovered property.

11:07 p.m. — A woman at Hillman Library confronted a nonaffiliate whom she reported had harassed her on Feb. 6. The nonaffiliate was given property warnings by the officers, and the incident was cleared.

Thursday, Feb. 10

12:03 a.m. — A woman in Sutherland Hall reported the theft of her Pitt ID from her room.

12:04 a.m. — A worker at the Panera Bread shop in Sennott Square reported a missing pane of glass. A repair request was filed, and the incident was cleared.

2:24 a.m. — A computer alarm was activated in the Posvar Hall computer lab. Officers checked the area and found it to be secure.

3:06 a.m. — Officers assisted city police with a retail theft incident in the 3400 block of Forbes Avenue.

3:12 a.m. — Pittsburgh medics transported an ill person from Posvar Hall to the hospital.

4:31 a.m. — A custodian in Benedum Hall reported that he found glass in the vending machine broken.
