9:13 a.m. — Smoke from construction work activated a fire alarm in Salk Hall.

10:17 a.m. — Investigators assisted an out-of-state police agency with an investigation, which is pending.

10:31 a.m. — A person reported the theft of his sweatshirt, wallet and ID card from the Petersen Events Center.

10:46 a.m. — A person taken ill was transported to the hospital by city medics.

12:02 p.m. — A person feeling ill in the Cathedral of Learning was transported to the hospital by a patrol car.

12:20 p.m. — A sick person was transported from the Cathedral of Learning to the hospital by city medics.

1:26 p.m. — Staff members at Alumni Hall turned over found property to an officer. Items were placed in recovered property. The incident was cleared.

3:20 p.m. — A person reported the theft of his cell phone from the William Pitt Union.

8:56 p.m. — A person with an injury was transported from the Petersen Events Center to the hospital by a patrol car.

10:05 p.m. — A sick person in Litchfield Tower B was taken to the hospital by a patrol car.

Tuesday, January 11

12:57 a.m. — A custodian in Posvar Hall turned in a computer that he had found. The computer’s owner was contacted, and will pick up the computer at the station. The incident was cleared.

2:46 a.m. — An officer assisted city police with the recovery of a stolen car on Bigelow Boulevard, near Parkman Street.

6:43 a.m. — A person stuck in an elevator in Lothrop Hall was released by an elevator repairman.

12:17 p.m. — A man turned in an MP3 player that he found near the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Bigelow Boulevard. The item was placed in recovered property.

3:38 p.m. — A woman in the Cathedral of Learning reported the theft of her ring, which she had briefly left in the restroom.

8:16 p.m. — A person with an injury was transported from Trees Hall to the hospital by city medics.

9:14 p.m. — An officer in Thackeray Hall found an interior office open. The officer checked and secured the area, and the incident was cleared.

Wednesday, Jan. 12

6:54 a.m. — A building guard in the Petersen Events Center found an open exterior door. The officer checked the area and confirmed that the door was secured.
