Rating of candidates needs to be unbiased on both sides

However, one major problem with it has been the members of the College Democrats and College Republicans rating and responding to the candidates’ performances.

While it is expected that each group will find its own candidate’s performance to be better, the College Republicans have not even attempted to be fair in the ratings. The writers on the Democratic side have given Kerry the edge in most categories; however, Bush was given a better grade in some aspects. The Republicans, however, have given Kerry substantially and unrealistically low grades.

Every major poll showed Kerry winning all three debates. Meanwhile, the College Republicans, unwilling to admit the truth, showed how obviously closed-minded they are by spreading skewed facts to the Pitt community. I guess the College Republicans, as well as the Bush administration, just do not know how to say when they are beaten or wrong. It’s almost laughable at how slanted the College Republicans have been in the grading and evaluation of the debates.
