9:35 a.m. — Someone reported that a vending machine in David Lawrence Hall had been broken into, and that all the contents had been removed. An investigation is pending.

12:39 p.m. — A man reported that his 2003 Chevy Blazer was stolen from the Graduate School of Public Health parking area.

2:27 p.m. — Officers assisted city police responding to a burglary on Meyran Avenue.

Friday, Sept. 24

11:16 a.m. — Officers received a request to check on the well being of a student in Holland Hall. They asked the student to call home.

5:08 p.m. — Officers in Hillman Library received a book that had personal papers in it.

11:31 p.m. — Police near the intersection of Centre Avenue and Aliquippa Street cited affiliate Kelly Hay, of Valencia, Pa., for underage drinking.

11:35 p.m. — Affiliate Benjamin Baltzer, of Felton, Pa., was cited near the Phi Kappa Theta fraternity house for underage drinking.

11:36 p.m. — Officers in the William Pitt Union cited nonaffiliate Ryan Hetrick, of Punxsutawney, Pa., for disorderly conduct.

Saturday, Sept. 25

2:17 a.m. — Nonaffiliate Zachary Snyder, of Selinsgrove, Pa., was cited near the Cathedral of Learning for disorderly conduct.

2:48 a.m. — Officers near Falk Clinic cited nonaffiliate Daniel W. Pauley Jr., of Clay, N.Y., for underage drinking and defiant trespass.

2:57 a.m. — Affiliate Eitel Kingue, of Silver Spring, Md., was arrested in Sutherland Hall for disorderly conduct.

7:34 a.m. — Police received a report of damage to the men’s room in the basement of the Cathedral of Learning.

1:48 p.m. — Police at Heinz Field arrested nonaffiliate David W. Durbin II, of 3357 Wallace Dr., for disorderly conduct.

1:50 p.m. — Nonaffiliate Neal Hannan, of 1800 Harper St., was arrested on a warrant.

1:55 p.m. — A housing worker at the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house reported blood on the floor and glass that had been broken. No victim was found.

3:58 p.m. — An unknown person put paint on the Cathedral of Learning driveway.

6:52 p.m. — Someone in Holland Hall reported being harassed by an ex-boyfriend.

11:41 p.m. — Affiliate Michael David Hreha, of 1418 Litchfield Tower B, was cited in Tower B for underage drinking.

Sunday, Sept. 26

12:02 a.m. — A key broke in the lock of the main gate at the Plum Research Facility. The lock had to be cut off.

12:31 a.m. — Officers at the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house cited affiliate Sarah Higgins, of 221 Sutherland East, for underage drinking.

1:39 a.m. — Affiliates Tomas Bednar, of Room 410 Lothrop Hall, Christian M. Arcario, of Room 463 Lothrop Hall, and Dennis Alex Zollicoffer, of Room 455 Lothrop Hall, were all arrested for defiant trespass at the Biomedical Science Tower 3 project.

5:50 a.m. — Officers confiscated a pocket knife from a person in Tower B.

Monday, Sept. 27

1:20 a.m. — Someone reported a chemical spill on the third floor of Old Engineering Hall. The Pittsburgh Fire Department and Health and Safety Departments handled the clean up.

9:23 a.m. — Police assisted city police in responding to a burglary in progress at 317 Meyran Ave.

10:07 a.m. — Someone reported considerable damage to office equipment in Posvar Hall Room 4140.

10:50 a.m. — An officer recovered a pair of eyeglasses, which were placed in the recovered property room.

12:03 p.m. — Someone in Bellefield Towers reported being deceived and losing $5 to an unknown person.

3:24 p.m. — Police assisted a Sodexho supervisor dealing with an administrative problem.

Tuesday, Sept. 28

12:10 a.m. — Someone in the William Pitt Union reported having problems with an employee who was making accusations about his supervisors. In response to the complaint, officers removed the person making accusations.

3:15 a.m. — A man provided information about activity in Oakland about which he was suspicious. An investigation is pending.

Wednesday, Sept. 29

8:50 a.m. — Someone reported the theft of a banner from the Union. The incident was cleared at the scene.

10:36 a.m. — An officer discovered a dollar bill on the Bellefield Street sidewalk. The item was placed in the recovered property room.

11:50 a.m.— A man reported damage to the glass on the entrance door to his Posvar Hall office. An investigation is pending.

1:26 p.m. — Officers recovered a personal check found on the sidewalk of Forbes Avenue. They placed the item in the recovered property room.

2:16 p.m. — Officers served Protection From Abuse papers to a resident on Joncaire Street.

6:45 p.m. — Police cited three people on Atwood Street for violating City of Pittsburgh Ordinance 607.07: Facsimile of a Firearm. Nonaffiliates John Steele, of 349 Meyran Ave., Lauren Arndt, of Holiday Park, Pa., and Robert John Kaefer, of 3414 Ward St., received citations.

7:08 p.m. — Someone reported being struck on the arm by a baseball while passing the Trees Hall baseball field during practice.

7:17 p.m. — Officers served Protection From Abuse papers to a resident on Oakland Avenue.

8:11 p.m. — A woman reported that debris falling from the ceiling of Towers Garage had damaged her vehicle.

9:24 p.m. — The Pittsburgh Fire Department responded to a fire alarm in Scaife Hall. A burning centrifuge machine motor had activated the alarm.
