Parking in South Oakland is a frustrating problem

I am writing to say how frustrated I am with the current parking situation in South Oakland…. I am writing to say how frustrated I am with the current parking situation in South Oakland. In the past few days, I have seen five or more booted cars parked along Oakland’s streets. Oakland is already disgustingly over-parked. I have even written complaints to the city of Pittsburgh arguing that they issue too many parking passes.

Wouldn’t it make more sense to tow the cars and impound them, refusing to release them until all the fines were paid, rather than booting them on the street and continuing to let them take up some of the few parking spaces that are available?

The sheer stupidity of the parking situation in Oakland amazes me.
