Postell made two key plays back to back in the third quarter that provided the Panthers with the momentum needed to carry them to victory.
Leading 10-3, Postell delivered a blow to a Bobcat receiver, stopping him short of the first down. On the very next play, he made a perfect read on Ohio quarterback Ryan Hawk’s pass, intercepting the ball and taking it 42 yards for a touchdown.
It was the first time Pitt returned an interception for a touchdown since Shawntae Spencer’s 68-yard return against Virginia Tech on Nov. 3, 2001.
Postell shares the weekly award with Boston College linebacker Ray Henderson.
