Meaney’s act includes poking fun at his quirky family, especially his over-reactive mother. Throughout his act, he’ll stray from his routine to cry out, in the tone of his mother’s voice, “That’s not right!” responding to any commentary that occurred in the previous joke. He also draws comedy from his relationships with his wife and young daughter. In accordance with his domestic subject matter, he also plans on combining his good-natured comedy with food by starring in his own cooking show, “Cooking with Kevin,” which is still in development.

For a comedian that is worth sympathizing with regarding family matters, see Kevin Meaney this weekend.

Kevin Meaney will perform at the Improv at the Homestead Waterfront from Jan. 29 through Feb. 1. For more information, call (412) 462-5233.
