At 3:23 a.m., police cited a driver for driving without a license at a traffic stop at Dawson Avenue and Atwood Street.
At 3:32 a.m., nonaffiliate Bret A. Hall, of Westerville, Ohio, was arrested for the theft of a motor vehicle.
Officers assisted city police in arresting a burglary suspect at 6:32 p.m.
At 7:07 p.m., a person with a knife was taken into custody at Terrace and Dunseith streets. Police committed the person, who was not affiliated with Pitt, to Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic.
Friday, Sept. 5
Police at Ruskin Avenue and Bigelow Boulevard cited Angela F. Noll, of Stevens, Pa., for underage drinking at 12:15 a.m.
At 2:10 a.m., officers cited two men on the corner of Fifth Avenue and Craig Street. Nonaffiliate James N. Fitzsimmons, of Uniontown, Pa., was cited for disorderly conduct, and nonaffiliate Joseph D. Kramer, of Clarendon, Pa., was cited for public intoxication.
Officers assisted city police at 2:38 a.m. with a reported assault on the 3600 block of Forbes Avenue.
