The band that everyone associates with emo is in town to play an intimate show at the AJ Palumbo Center Friday night at 6:30 p.m.
With a new album, titled A Mark, a Mission, a Brand, a Scar, in stores now, the one-man band shows that there is more emotion to be poured out for the masses. After the successful release of Dashboard’s MTV Unplugged album, the lord of emo is the talk of the town in the music industry, and has been for some time now.
As the band’s popularity has grown, some people enjoy the music because it is poignant and meaningful, while others can’t get over the emo label that has been placed on the band.
The new album has received rave reviews from print and radio publications, and the current tour is making its way into the hearts of fans nationwide. Being on a successful tour helps a band like Dashboard move along and grow, picking up more fans.
Also on the bill are punk rockers MXPX, who have just released a new album – their third for A’M Records – titled Before Everything and After. MXPX has been together for more than 10 years and touring for eight.
This show has been set up to be a very eclectic performance, filled with energy and emotion all packed into one night, on one stage.
