There are several tracks on this new album that should quickly become crowd favorites. “Risen,” “Dareh Meyod,” “Road Outside Columbus” and “Right on Time” are all upbeat, light songs. Darker tracks like “James,” “Old Man Time” and “Mr. Moon” have incredible lyrics that will no doubt be sung by every fan in attendance at the next …of a revolution show, where they still play songs they wrote back when they were in high school, like “Hey Girl,” which is on In Between Now and Then, and everyone’s favorite, “Crazy Game of Poker.”
A limited edition DVD is included with this CD. Titled “Nothing to See Hear,” the DVD is a live performance, recorded in New York, featuring two of the band’s new songs, “Revisited” and “Risen,” as well as an incredible, 15-minute rendition of “Crazy Game of Poker” that depicts their reputation for amazing live shows filled with extended jam sessions. Also included is a behind-the-scenes look at the night of that performance, a documentary depicting the recording process for the album, and the band’s everyday activities on the road.
In Between Now and Then is an album that is sure to satisfy the tastes of those new to O.A.R.’s sound, as well as fans that have been with the band since their debut release, The Wanderer.
