As we begin our weekly summer publication, Pitt says goodbye to Marc Boehm, its interim athletic director for the past four months.

News also takes a closer look at many Pittsburghers? favorite summer events, the Pittsburgh Marathon and St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church?s Greek food festival. And Madame Sadat, former first lady of Egypt, spoke in Pittsburgh. For entertainment, there?s police blotter online.

There are editors all over the Opinions Section today, with Meinzer on catcalls and Bergman on being a geek (hint: one?s cool and the other?s not). The Editorial Board thinks they know who?s to blame for Pitt?s latest loss (hint: it?s not Marc Boehm). And the Editor in Chief has a prediction for the next athletics director (hint: he?s dark, handsome and made of bronze).

Arts and Entertainment has tons of previews, including Burning Brides and Fleetwood Mac. But don?t stop there, The New Yinzer has published some sweet little (travel) lies in a new collection. And Dante Ciampaglia tells the protestors at the Mr. Rogers memorial to go their own way.

There?s also a review of ?Daddy Day Care? and short capsule reviews of ?Open Hearts? and ?The Good Thief.? And online, A’E has exclusives ranging from a review of ?X2: X-Men United? to previews of Butch Walker and the Supersuckers (those are two different acts).

Sports has all the details on why Boehm is joining his predecessor, Steve Pederson, in Nebraska, and Joe Marchilena has thoughts on why Larry Eustachy and Mike Price are joining the unemployed coaches club. Since classes let out, Pitt?s hired two coaches and Claude Harriott?s being mentioned for a big award. A very big award. We also had three football players taken in the draft.

Pitt?s women?s lacrosse team is good. Real good. So good, they don?t lose. But softball did. Read about them and baseball online.

Have a great week.
