Rosebud?s intimate setting is to be invaded with mofos who are rock ?n? roll veterans, to say the least.
Formed in 1988 in the cactus-laden Tucson, Ariz., Supersuckers have followed their tried-and-true approach towards writing music, which follows a pretty simple formula: write about booze, chicks and life in general. Sound familiar?
It has been a formula that has worked for this foursome; their latest album, Motherf—er?s Be Trippin?, is their tenth album to date, and they still hold to their claim that they are the best rock band ever. It?s a pretty ballsy claim, but there are a lot of bands that claim the like. However, the majority of those other bands can?t hold a flame to the rocking attitude of Supersuckers.
The opening band is the Forty-Fives, a flashback to ?70s garage rock with Beatles hooks and mop tops to match. The Forty-Fives are indie rock?s answer to the Strokes and Vines and all of the other popular garage rockers of the MTV generation.
With all this rocking to take in, why are you still sitting there reading this? Get out to Rosebud and rock right along with the Supersuckers and the Forty-Fives.
