A delivery driver of the Original Hot Dog Shop was robbed on Dawson Street Wednesday, March… A delivery driver of the Original Hot Dog Shop was robbed on Dawson Street Wednesday, March 26.

Three men approached the driver while he walked back to his car from a delivery on South Bouquet Street. One of the men pointed a handgun at the driver and demanded his money. The driver turned and ran.

A different suspect chased the driver, grabbed him and threw him to the ground. The other two robbers grabbed the driver’s wallet and all three ran down Dawson Street. Police are still looking for the robbers.

Police describe the suspect who held the gun as a black man between 18 and 20 years old. He stood 5 feet 9 inches with a thin build. The night of the robbery, he wore blue jeans and a blue hooded sweatshirt.

The second suspect was also a black man between the ages of 18 and 20 with a build similar to his accomplice. He wore blue jeans and a blue checkered bandana over his face.

Police describe the robber who chased the driver as a black man about 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds.
