Clarification

In an article titled “Proposed budget shows 5-percent cut in Pitt’s funding” and the… In an article titled “Proposed budget shows 5-percent cut in Pitt’s funding” and the corresponding graph, the length of the fiscal year is identified as being from Oct. 1 through Sept. 31. This is the length of the federal government’s fiscal year. However, the fiscal year that the article deals with is the commonwealth’s fiscal year, which begins July 1 and ends June 30.
