– An article on Wednesday titled “Snow canceled class, but staff had to report” stated that while students had off from school, Pitt staff members were required to report to work. In comment today, Hill clarified that anyone who was scheduled to report to Pitt was expected to show up for work despite the snow. This included faculty and administrators as well as staff. However, Hill added that faculty who only had a teaching schedule for the day and had no non-teaching obligations would not have to use a personal holiday or a vacation day.

– In an article on Monday titled “Faculty Assembly considers, tables resolution to censure Board of Trustees,” Faculty Assembly member John Baker said Pitt is tied with the University of Maryland for the highest paid top official among Middle West and Middle Atlantic regions, according to the public Association of American Universities. Baker later clarified that Nordenberg is tied for second highest, if the University of Michigan is considered Midwest.
