The old timers of wrestling take to the ring again in the second installment of “Legends of Wrestling.” This version is well worth the hard-earned cash for any fan of wrestling entertainment, and is a much better game than its predecessor.
The second “Legends of Wrestling” features smoother game play and the graphics are crisp and clean. The wrestlers take on their appearance in a more attractive style than the previous “Legends” and the moves in and out of the ring look more realistic as well. Also unlike the first “Legends,” which only featured one-player mode, you can play with up to eight players if you have the right equipment. And there is the traditional one-player mode where you battle your opponents from region to region working your way to the top. Or challenge a friend to a cage or ladder match, or team up and take on the computer.
Another improvement with this installment is the character selection. Some of the big names of this game include Rowdy Roddy Piper, Andre the Giant, Coco B. Ware, Ricky the Dragon Steamboat, Jimmy Superfly Snuka and, of course, Hulk Hogan and a number of other legends of the sport. There’s enough variety that any fan will not be disappointed.
