Their debut album, The Better Life, helped launch their attack on the music industry with a new taste of rock ‘n’ roll, and with lyrics that were catchy and creative and guitars that rocked, 3 Doors Down made their mark pretty quickly. Now, with the release of their new album, Away From the Sun, 3 Doors Down toned their aggressive style down a notch, filling the album with softer guitar riffs and harmonized lyrics.
Even though the sound is calmer, it doesn’t mean they don’t still rock, and they just recently rocked their way around military bases overseas playing before thousands of troops. Their new single, “When I’m Gone,” is another huge hit and the video shot on the U.S.S. George Washington has helped them along the way.
Friday night they roll into town to play the A.J. Palumbo Center with an arsenal of both hard-driving and laid-back, harmonized songs, and 3 Doors Down looks to make it an enjoyable evening for all.
Theory of a Deadman will open the show. The first product of Chad Kroeger’s 604 records, Theory of a Deadman make their second appearance in the Steel City in less than three months continuing their promotion of their self-titled debut album. Theory of a Deadman’s debut single, “Invisible Man,” was recently featured on an episode of WB’s Smallville, and is receiving major radio airplay.
With incredible stage presence from both bands, this show looks to rock for all fans.
