From 3 to 5 p.m. in the Lower Lounge of the William Pitt Union,… Friday, Jan. 10

From 3 to 5 p.m. in the Lower Lounge of the William Pitt Union, there will be a Turkish Coffeehouse featuring Turkish coffee and sweets, as well as music, backgammon and a scenic film of Turkey.

Saturday, Jan. 11

The swimming and diving team will compete against West Virginia at 11 a.m. in Trees Pool.

At 7 p.m., in Fitzgerald Field House, the gymnastics team will compete against West Virginia and Ball State.

The women’s basketball team will take on Providence in the Petersen Events Center at 2 p.m.

Monday, Jan. 13

The Drue Heinz Lecture Series presents “Biography with a Point of View” at 7:30 p.m. at the Carnegie Music Hall.

There will be a talk titled “Setting Nets on Troubled Waters: Environment, Economics and Autonomy among Fishing Cooperative Association Households in Toku, Japan” at 2 p.m. in Room 4E51of Posvar Hall.

Tuesday, Jan. 14

Students who wish to learn more about study abroad opportunities can attend the International Studies Fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the Union.

The Center for Philosophy of Science will hold a lunchtime talk titled “What EEGs Really Do” in 817R of the Cathedral of Learning at 12:05 p.m.

In the Union Dining Room A at noon, there will be a talk about women’s health and the services available to women at the Student Health Services.

Thursday, Jan. 16

The wrestling team will compete against Cleveland State at the Field House at 7 p.m.

There will be an information session at noon in Room 113 in the School of Law in an effort to recruit and train community volunteers to help abused and neglected children.
