After surprising students by selling extra basketball season tickets last week, the athletics… After surprising students by selling extra basketball season tickets last week, the athletics department has decided to put even more tickets on sale Dec. 10.
“We’ll make every attempt to fill the seats,” associate athletics director Jim Earle said. “Norfolk State confirmed this for us. Students were back from break and we still had 900 empty seats.”
Earle said the number of tickets to be sold Tuesday will remain undetermined in order to allow as many students as possible to buy tickets.
“We’ll see what the demand is like and take care of as many students as we can,” he said. “The first 1,500 students to come up to the event center [will get in]. Once we’re out of tickets we’ll start turning them away.”
