Well it isn’t fair to only give you broke folk something to do on Halloween and leave you hanging for the rest of the weekend, now is it?
Beginning tomorrow evening at 6 p.m. at the Greater Pittsburgh Expomart in Monroeville is the 32nd Annual Designer Days Sale. The event is sponsored by the National Council of Jewish Women, Pittsburgh Section, and runs until Monday night.
Admission and parking are free for this event. No car? No problem. Just hop onto the 67A bus on either Forbes Avenue at Craig Street or at Robinson Street near Fifth Avenue.
I know, I know, you are tight on cash. I shouldn’t be sending you off to a place where designer clothes such as DKNY, Armani, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Versace, Chanel, Gucci and others are being sold. Well that’s the thing – they are greatly discounted so that you don’t have to go outside naked in the cold weather. You will probably be spending a bit more than $10, the budget limit for this column, but it’s a small price to pay to bundle up in style this winter. Some of the clothes are new and others are “slightly worn.”
Your precious cash will go to good use. Some of the proceeds from this sale will go to organizations such as Komen Pittsburgh Race for the Cure, Silent Witness Initiative, Council Care and Pic-A-Bag.
Even if you can’t afford to buy designer digs, window-shopping always makes for a great outing.
