Can you remember back to the days of Ziggy Stardust when David Bowie was experimenting with the extravagant side of his personality? Another individual now embodies the flamboyant and mysterious presence on and offstage that caused an uproar in the music world. No, it’s not Marilyn Manson. It’s a psychedelic pop artist by the name of Stuart Davis, and you can see his eclectic performance tonight at the Quiet Storm.

A native of Minneapolis, Davis is a unique individual to say the least. He sounds like a mix between Duncan Sheik and David Bowie, but his lyrics sound like Manson should sing them. In “Savoring Samsura,” he starts the first verse singing, “It’s a big wet dream/ spilling semen into phantoms/ How long ’til the orgy’s over/ and where’s the wine that makes me sober?”

With an eerie and sometimes creepy sound, Davis rocks out on one song and then croons an elegant ballad. With a unique mix and an eclectic persona, this may be an experience that you never forget.
