A Pitt police officer assisted city police investigating shots fired in the area of Sennott and Atwood streets at 3:14 a.m.

At 4:39 p.m., a woman reported being harassed by an unknown man at a number of off-campus locations.

Monday, Sept. 30

At 11:39 p.m., a complainant in Litchfield Tower B reported a number of female students receiving harassing phone calls from an unknown male caller. An investigation is pending.

Tuesday, Oct. 1

A strong odor was reported in the hall on the first floor of Thackeray Hall at 12:30 p.m. An engineer traced the odor to a fire panel, and officers put the fire system on hold.

At 1:34 p.m., someone reported a suspicious man looking through bags in Victoria Hall. Officers checked each floor of the building but could not find the suspect.

A woman in Tower C reported at 5:44 p.m. that a man followed her and took her picture, then boarded the same bus she did.

Wednesday, Oct. 2

An officer observed a driver throw an object from a car window as the driver tried to avoid a traffic stop at 1:07 a.m.

A water leak resulting in minor damage was reported in Benedum Hall at 7:14 a.m. An engineer and custodians were notified.

At 7:16 a.m., an officer reported the lights at the stairs on University Drive were not lit. Officers notified Facilities Management and a maintenance request form was filed.

A rubber dish drainer left on a lit stove in Benedum Hall began to burn and set off the fire alarm at 9:54 a.m. The incident was cleared at the scene.

At 3:54 p.m., 18 people were trapped in an elevator in Litchfield Tower A.

A custodian reported a Bev-O-Matic machine in Chevron Science Center was broken into at 9:58 p.m. An investigation is pending.

Thursday, Oct. 3

Officers arrested Joshua M. Feldman, 18, of Spotsylvania, Va., and Jeffery Skaly, 18, of 1814 Tower B, at 12:43 a.m. in Towers lobby for underage drinking.

Officers encountered a man masturbating in Scaife Hall at 1:17 a.m.
