• A man reported at 2:36 p.m. that a man asked him for money several times and that he gave the money willingly, but could not locate the man to get his money back.
• Nonstudent Edwin Kimbo, of 204 Dimwiddle St., was arrested for defiant trespass in the William Pitt Union at 8:46 p.m.
Wednesday, Aug. 28
• Officers responded to a report at midnight that people were damaging the light fixtures on the steps leading to the Litchfield Towers. Officers found that a light was damaged, but no cause was determined.
• Police cited Jonathan A. Capar, of 1605 Centre Ave., for disorderly conduct in the Towers lobby at 1:35 a.m.
• At 1:55 a.m., an officer checked on a group of disorderly people near the Towers, and detained one individual who tried to flee the area. The officer took a Pitt ID card from the man, who was no longer a student, and released him.
• At 3:31 p.m., police received a report that someone had stolen a cellular telephone from a display booth near the Union. An investigation is pending.
• Police responded to a report at 7:12 p.m. that someone had stolen the back tire from a bicycle while it was parked at the Posvar Hall bike rack.
Thursday, Aug. 29
• A man said that he was verbally harassed by a panhandler near the Fifth Avenue bus stop by Children’s Hospital at 4:06 a.m. He asked the police to talk to the panhandler, which an officer did.
• At 5:19 a.m., an officer aided city police with an investigation of a vehicle that struck and damaged the music building sign on the corner of Fifth and Bellefield avenues.
Friday, Aug. 30
• A person at the Center Plaza apartments reported at 6:36 p.m. that his vehicle was scratched when the garage door closed on it.
• Someone reported that a woman fighting with her boyfriend in Hillman Library damaged a chair at 6:52 p.m. Judicial board papers were filed.
Saturday, Aug. 31
• At 12:24 a.m., Flannery Amdahl, 19, of 411 Holland Hall, was cited for underage drinking at the corner of Sennott Street and Oakland Avenue.
• Police cited nonstudent Justin Crawford, 18, of Parkesburg, Pa., for underage drinking in front of the 7-Eleven at 12:59 a.m.
• Nonstudent Jayme Peadar Gallagher, of Easton, Pa., was cited for disorderly conduct at 1:58 a.m. on Atwood Street.
• Someone at the Phi Kappa Theta house reported at 2:33 a.m. that an unknown person damaged a window near the entrance of the fraternity.
• Officers cited Stephany Magda, 20, of 3026 Terrace St., for underage drinking 2:39 a.m. in Sutherland Hall.
• Pitt police assisted city police with and investigation of an armed robbery that took place at the corner of Fifth Avenue and Chesterfield Street at 2:40 a.m.
• Martine Warden, 19, of 507 McCormick Hall, was cited for underage drinking in McCormick at 2:45 a.m.
• Police arrested Michael Javon Snowden, a nonstudent of 1125 North Euclid St., for possession of cocaine on the corner of Fifth Avenue and Bigelow Boulevard at 2:45 a.m.
• At 4:59 a.m., officers cited Dana Ann Yingling, of Coraopolis, Pa., for an open container violation at the corner of Sennott Street and Oakland Avenue.
• Police cited Francesca Lucia McCintock, 19, of 312 Atwood St., for underage drinking on the Bigelow Boulevard side of the William Pitt Union at 5:59 p.m.
• At 10:22 p.m., an officer assisted city police with a domestic dispute on Forbes Avenue at Atwood Street. The man involved was transported to the Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic, where he signed a voluntary commitment.
Sunday, Sept. 1
• Officers assisted city police with an armed robbery investigation on the corner of Fifth Avenue and Atwood Street at 1:17 a.m.
• An officer arrested an unknown man for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest at the corner of Forbes and Meyran avenues. The man refused to give any information.
• Brian Flannery, 18, of 302 East Sutherland Hall, was cited for underage drinking outside of Falk School at 2:56 a.m.
• Officers cited nonstudents Leonard Franklin Crockett Jr., of 306 S. Fairmont Ave., and Jason T. Astonio, of 109 Hodil Terrace, for criminal mischief at the Law School at 3:46 a.m.
Monday, Sept. 2
• A guard reported that an unknown individual removed a sign from the wall near the Bouquet Gardens building B elevator. The sign was placed in the maintenance shed at 1:47 a.m.
• An officer reported being stopped by a man who had caught someone trying to break into his vehicle at the corner of Forbes Avenue and Atwood Street at 4:25 a.m. City police took the report and arrested the man for theft and an outstanding warrant for bond forfeiture.
