Feeling arty

The Sweetwater Center for the Arts is home to a colorful spectrum of classes for kids, teens,… The Sweetwater Center for the Arts is home to a colorful spectrum of classes for kids, teens, young adults and senior citizens. A place for everyone, the gorgeous building houses some of the top instructors in their fields at an affordable cost to both emerging and seasoned artists.

The historical landmark of the old Sewickley Post Office houses marble, chandeliers and revolving doors. An old gymnasium provides a classroom for yoga, tai chi and modern dance. Classrooms throughout the building outfitted with pottery wheels, shelves of drawing and painting supplies and jumbles of pipe cleaners, beads and marker allow creativity to flow. A balcony overlooking the gymnasium presents local and regional artistry upon dimly lit walls.
