This week in Pitt sports, Brant Colamarino and Nikki Gasti took home Big East Player of the… This week in Pitt sports, Brant Colamarino and Nikki Gasti took home Big East Player of the Week honors for their respective baseball and softball teams; it was announced that the swimming and diving programs would combine their coaching staffs and spring football practices got underway.

Baseball

Junior Colamarino was named Big East Player of the Week for his impressive offensive numbers that he posted over a week that saw his Panthers go 3-0, improving their overall record to 13-3-1.

Colamarino batted .800 (eight-of-10) as he connected on three home runs, two doubles and three singles, while knocking in seven runs and scoring eight more in the Panthers
