March 13: $300 Housing deposit due and 2002-2003 housing applications are due in the Housing Services office.

March 14: Campus Women’s Organization celebrates International No Diet Day at 8 p.m. in 901 Cathedral of Learning. Learn about eating disorders, body image and size acceptance. There will be a potluck dinner, a discussion and a movie.

March 15: Suite retention and suite selection forms are due in the Housing Services office.

March 13: The baseball team plays Duquesne at Trees Field at 3 p.m.

March 16: The baseball team takes on Niagara in a noon double-header at Trees Field.

March 16: The gymnastics team meets Bowling Green at 1 p.m. at Trees Hall.

March 17: The baseball team plays Niagara in a second double header at Trees Field at noon.

Arts

March 13: “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone” will play in the Assembly Room of the William Pitt Union at 6:30 and 9:15 p.m.

March 14: The Carnegie Museum of Natural History presents the lecture, “Exploring Active Volcanoes: What Can Be Learned from an often Deadly Field-based Science?” at 7 p.m. in the Carnegie Museum of Art Theater. Dr. Michael Ramsey, assistant professor of Pitt’s department of geology and planetary science, will share some of his experiences studying volcanoes and his views on why the science is important.

March 15: In celebration of St. Patrick’s Day, the Pitt Club will sponsor “St. Patty’s Party” Friday, complete with an Irish buffet and Irish beer specials. Cover is $5. For more information call (412) 624-8209.

March 15: The Italian film, “The Way We Laughed,” opens at the Pittsburgh Filmmakers’ Harris Theater Downtown. The film focuses on the relationship between two orphaned brothers who emigrate from Sicily to Turin in the late ’50s. Call Filmmakers at (412) 682-4111 for screening times.

March 15: Present and past Steelers Jerome “The Bus” Bettis and Lynn Swann will join Myron Cope, Mayor Tom Murphy and WTAE news anchor Sally Wiggin in reading poetry at the International Poetry Forum’s “The Poetry of Sport,” at 8 p.m. in Carnegie Music Hall. Tickets start at $15, and student discounts are available.
