Woman reports sexual assault in Bouquet Gardens

According to Pitt police Chief Tim Delaney, acquaintances of a non-student sexually… According to Pitt police Chief Tim Delaney, acquaintances of a non-student sexually assaulted her at Bouquet Gardens Tuesday night.

The woman called Pitt police from an emergency phone on Oakland Avenue at 10:45 p.m.

Delaney said police then escorted her to Magee-Womens Hospital on Forbes Avenue. She was released later that night.

Police would not specify the precise nature of the assault, but said that pending further investigation, the incident could be classified as a rape.
