The woman onstage had just thrown off a black trench coat and black silky shirt to reveal a lavender lace bra and mini, miniskirt.

Dancing on stage and removing layers of clothing in intervals, Jessica Shaffer, a sophomore mechanical engineering major, was attempting to raise the bids at the annual Engineering Student Date Auction.

Jewart won the bidding, paying $60 for Shaffer, and he was visibly stunned by his success. Afterward, a friend asked him what he was going to do with his date. Shaking his head and tipping his cowboy hat, Jewart replied,
