Jane Orie, a Republican representative from McCandless, announced the kickoff of the Hearts of Steel Bracelet Project Friday, a collaborative effort to raise money for the construction of a memorial to the passengers and crew killed aboard United Airlines flight 93 during the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11.

During a press conference in the William Pitt Union, Orie, who is coordinating the project, remembered the contribution of the passengers and crew of flight 93, saying,
