Pitt fans were filled with different emotions. Some fans were thrilled. Others were shocked and some just relieved. I, on the other hand, was simply satisfied. Satisfied that the team finally showed what they were capable of doing all season long.
Back in late August, when people were chatting about the upcoming season, theyasked me what I thought about the team and how they would do. At the time, it was my pleasure to relay to anybody that would listen that this team would be right up at the top of the Big East, with as many as eight wins.
These were my expectations as a person who has covered the team for a long time and as a fan. These expectations were held by a majority of people, including all of the so-called experts.
