Gunfire claimed the life of a Wilkinsburg man shot near the intersection of Forbes Avenue… Gunfire claimed the life of a Wilkinsburg man shot near the intersection of Forbes Avenue and South Bouquet Street yesterday morning.

The man, Robert Beeman, 24, of South Avenue in Wilkinsburg, was pronounced dead on arrival at UPMC Presbyterian. According to a witness who spoke with city police, Beeman was involved in an argument outside The Original Hot Dog Shop shortly before the shooting.

According to the report, the same witness then saw the shooter flee on foot.

Pitt police officers were the first to respond to the shooting, according to the initial police report.
