The signs, part of a state program to reduce the number of pedestrian deaths and accidents, will be a fixture on Bigelow from now on to encourage motorists to comply with traffic laws and yield to pedestrians.

While the signs are a good addition, they are portable. People could easily steal them, and many may try. We
