Football: Titus Howard suspended for season

Pitt football player Titus Howard will miss all of the 2014 season due to suspension, Pitt Athletics announced on Friday.

No reason was given for the disciplinary action. Howard, a sophomore cornerback, will remain with and can continue practicing with the team, but cannot compete in any games.

Howard played in 11 games and recorded 21 tackles last year.

He is the second casualty for the Panthers’ defense this summer after Ejuan Price, a redshirt junior defensive lineman who injured a pectoral muscle and required season-ending surgery on July 16.

Fall training camp opens on Monday.
