Ejuan Price- Defensive end, football
Price had one of the best games for a defensive player in Pitt football history, recording an astounding five sacks Saturday in Pitt’s 45-34 victory over Louisville. The total of five sacks was the highest of any player in the FBS this season, and was one away from a national record. He also totalled 10 tackles and six tackles for loss, earning him ACC Defensive Lineman of the Week honors. Price’s 11.5 sacks in the season are the most by a Pitt player since 2000. The Panthers will conclude their regular season Friday when they take on the Miami Hurricanes at noon.
Kalista Walters- Forward, women’s basketball
Walters has exploded onto the Pitt women’s basketball scene as a true freshman, providing a tangible boost to the Panthers’ offensive attack, starting every game this year so far. Last Monday on the road against St. Francis, Walters scored a team-high 26 points, doing so in an impressive 12-14 shooting performance. She then followed that surge with another offensive outburst on Friday, scoring 19 points and tallying five rebounds in a win against Delaware State. Walters and the Pitt women’s basketball team will be in action again Thursday, when they take on South Dakota State on Thanksgiving in the Virgin Islands.
