Friday, Feb. 7

2:07 a.m. — Pitt police assisted city police with shoplifters. The incident was cleared. 

9:13 a.m. — Pitt police issued a citation to a non-affiliate for marijuana possession and disorderly conduct at UPMC Presbyterian. 

9:48 a.m. — Residence Life reported the following alcohol law violations to Pitt police.

1. On Jan. 12 in Tower A, one student was found in possession of alcohol and was referred for judicial action.

2. On Jan. 11 in Sutherland Hall East, one student was found in possession of alcohol and was referred for judicial action. 

3. On Jan. 23 in Tower A, four students were found in possession of alcohol and were referred for judicial action. 

4. On Jan. 24 in Panther Hall, two students were found in possession of alcohol and were referred for judicial action. 

5. On Jan. 25 in Nordenberg Hall, one student was found in possession of alcohol and was referred for judicial action. 

6. On Jan. 30 in Holland Hall, three students were found in possession of alcohol and were referred for judicial action.

7. On Jan. 31 in Amos Hall, four students were found in possession of alcohol and were referred for judicial action.

All incidents were cleared.

10:33 a.m. — Pitt police responded to an individual who reported the theft of a drill, two batteries and a charger in Crawford Hall. The investigation is pending. 

10:37 a.m. — Pitt police responded to a report of three suspicious individuals on Coltart Avenue. The individuals were identified and a marijuana blunt was confiscated. No charges are pending and the individuals were given property warnings. The incident was cleared. 

12:26 p.m. — Pitt police responded to a report of a theft of a license plate. The investigation is pending. 

7:20 p.m. — Pitt police assisted Western Psychiatric Institute and Clinic security at Detre Hall with securing a handgun that was confiscated by one of their guards. The incident was cleared.

10:49 p.m. — Pitt police responded to a report of an exit sign that was damaged at Trees Hall. The incident was cleared.

11:49 p.m. — Pitt police issued a citation for public drunkenness to a non-affiliate at Detre Hall. The incident was cleared.

Saturday, Feb. 8

12:05 a.m. — Pitt police issued a citation for underage drinking to a student at the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity house. The incident was cleared. 

1:12 a.m. — Pitt police issued a citation for underage drinking to a student in Litchfield Tower B. The incident was cleared. 

1:49 a.m. — Pitt police made a physical arrest of a non-affiliate for driving under the influence, possession of a small amount of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The incident was cleared. 

2:15 a.m. — Pitt police made a physical arrest of a non-affiliate for driving under the influence. The incident was cleared. 

8:11 a.m. — Pitt police assisted city police at UPMC Shadyside with an intoxicated male. The incident was cleared.

Sunday, Feb. 9

12:53 a.m. — Pitt police issued a citation for underage drinking to a student at Sutherland Hall. The incident was cleared.

1:01 a.m. — Pitt police issued a citation for underage drinking to a student at Sutherland Hall. The incident was cleared.

1:27 a.m. — Pitt police issued a citation for underage drinking to a student at Sutherland Hall. The incident was cleared.

2:35 a.m. — Pitt police responded to a report of a non-affiliate who was feeling ill at Amos Hall. City medics responded and transported the person to UPMC Presbyterian. The incident was cleared. 

9:02 a.m. — Pitt police responded to a report of an individual being assaulted by an unknown person at the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity house. The investigation is pending.

3:05 p.m. — Pitt police assisted city police with a motor-vehicle accident that turned into a drug arrest. The incident was cleared.

9:37 p.m. — Pitt police responded to an individual who reported a theft of his wallet in Sennott Square. The investigation is pending. 

Monday, Feb. 10

10:23 a.m. — Pitt police responded to a report of an employee who reported a theft of several items from his office in Crawford Hall. The investigation is pending. 

10:51 a.m. — Pitt police assisted city police with a possible wanted person. Checks on the individual were run with negative results. The incident was cleared.

11:17 a.m. — Pitt police assisted UPMC Presbyterian security with an individual who may have had a weapon. No weapon was located, and the incident was cleared. 

12:54 p.m. — Pitt police responded to a report from an individual who reported a theft of his belongings in Trees Hall. The investigation is pending. 

5:14 p.m. — Pitt police assisted UPMC Shadyside security with a report of an individual who possibly made a threat. The investigation is pending.

Tuesday, Feb. 11

12:30 a.m. — Pitt police responded to a report of a smell of marijuana in Litchfield Tower C. Upon arrival, officers confiscated a small amount of marijuana. The item was placed in an evidence locker and the individual was referred for judicial action. The incident was cleared. 

4:12 p.m. — Pitt police made a physical arrest of a non-affiliate for retail theft at Magee-Womens Hospital. The incident was cleared. 

8:28 p.m. — Pitt police made a physical arrest of a non-affiliate for aggravated assault on a police officer, fleeing and eluding, possession with intent to deliver, resisting arrest, possession of drug paraphernalia and driving under the influence of a controlled substance. The incident was cleared.

Wednesday, Feb. 12

6:17 a.m. — Pitt police made a physical arrest of a non-affiliate for terroristic threats, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct. The incident was cleared. 

6:57 p.m. — Pitt police responded to a report from an individual who reported the theft of their bookbag in the Cathedral of Learning. The investigation is pending.

7:19 p.m. — Pitt police issued a citation to a non-affiliate for disorderly content at the Petersen Events Center. The incident was cleared. 

7:28 p.m. — Pitt police responded to a report of a victim’s vehicle being kicked by an unknown person who was scalping tickets on O’Hara Street. The incident was cleared. 

9:43 p.m. — Pitt police responded to a report of a vehicle that was damaged while parked in the Pittsburgh Filmmakers lot. The investigation is pending. 

Thursday, Feb. 13

12:34 a.m. — Pitt police issued a citation to a student for violating a city ordinance (public urination) on Atwood Street. The incident was cleared. 

1:27 a.m. — Pitt police issued a citation to a non-affiliate for marijuana possession and disorderly conduct. The incident was cleared. 

8:50 p.m. — Pitt police issued a citation to a student for marijuana possession and disorderly conduct on Boundary Street. The incident was cleared. 

11:03 p.m. — Pitt police issued a citation for disorderly conduct to a non-affiliate at UPMC Mercy. The incident was cleared. 

Friday, Feb. 14

10:05 a.m. — Pitt police responded to a report of a theft of tools in Victoria Hall. The investigation is pending. 

3:38 p.m. — Residence Life reported the following alcohol violation to Pitt Police: 

On Jan. 31 in Sutherland Hall East, one student was found in possession of alcohol and was referred for judicial action. The incident was cleared. 

11:03 p.m. — Pitt police issued a citation to a student for marijuana possession and disorderly conduct in Litchfield Tower A. The incident was cleared. 

11:16 p.m. — Pitt police issued a citation to a student in Litchfield Tower C for marijuana possession and disorderly conduct. The incident was cleared. 

11:41 p.m. — Pitt police issued a citation to a student in Litchfield Towers lobby for underage drinking. The incident was cleared.

11:50 p.m. — Pitt police issued a citation to a student in Litchfield Tower A for underage drinking. The incident was cleared.

Saturday, Feb. 15

12:27 a.m. — Pitt police issued a citation to a student in the Delta Tau Delta fraternity house for underage drinking. The incident was cleared. 

12:41 a.m. — Pitt police issued a citation to a student in the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity house for underage drinking. The incident was cleared.

12:51 a.m. — Pitt police issued two citations to students in Nordenberg Hall for underage drinking and disorderly conduct. The incident was cleared. 

9:44 p.m. — Pitt police issued a citation to a student for public drunkenness. The incident was cleared.

2:35 a.m. — Pitt police issued a citation to a student for underage drinking. The incident was cleared. 

5:15 a.m. — Pitt police made a physical arrest of a non-affiliate for resisting arrest, defiant trespass, disorderly conduct, harassment and public drunkenness in the Litchfield Towers lobby. The incident was cleared. 

5:53 p.m. — Pitt police responded to a report of damage to an exit sign in Litchfield Tower B. The investigation is pending.
