Friday, Jan. 17

Ferdinand the Bull

Time: 6:30 p.m. (Ferdinand goes on at 10 p.m.)

Admission: $8 in advance, $10 at the door

Ferdinand the Bull, a local band made up of four Pitt students, will be performing at Mr. Smalls Theater with a few other acts. It’s just a 10 minute drive from campus.

“The Mountaintop”

Admission: $15 with Student ID, $27 general admission

This play set in the Lorraine Motel on April 3, 1968 in Memphis, Tenn. — the time and place where Martin Luther King Jr. spent the last night of his life — examines the human side of the American icon.

Breakfast and a Movie featuring “The Wizard of Oz”

The Hollywood Theatre

Admission: $15

The famed Hollywood Theatre in Dormont celebrates 75 years of the classic film with a light breakfast, prizes and a screening of everyone’s second-favorite — right behind James Franco’s “Oz the Great and Powerful” — movie about the titular wizard.

“Wicked”

Do you love bluegrass? Trick question. Everyone loves bluegrass, particularly when it’s being played by Greensky Bluegrass, a group of some of the best bluegrass musicians in the business.
