Football: Florida linebacker commits to Pitt

Pitt football received a verbal commitment Saturday from linebacker James Folston, according to multiple reports.

Folston, a high school senior from Cocoa, Fla., wrote in a tweet seen below that he has committed to the Panthers.

Folston is a 6-foot-3, 201-pound inside linebacker who has a two-star rating on Rivals.com. He had offers from South Florida, Minnesota and Pitt, and visited the latter two schools within the past month.

Though Pitt’s Athletic Department has not confirmed his verbal commitment, Folston would be the 20th member of the team’s 2014 recruiting class.
