WPTS’ ‘Best of’ ‘Burgh bands to jam

Five local bands will rock the William Pitt Union Assembly Room in a three-hour concert tomorrow… Five local bands will rock the William Pitt Union Assembly Room in a three-hour concert tomorrow night.

WPTS’ “Best of” local music showcase will begin at 8 p.m. White Like Fire, the group that won the radio station’s recent Battle of the Bands competition, will headline the show.

Three electronic bands — Discuss, BusCrates 16-Bit Ensemble and Datagrams — will also perform, as will Josh Verbanets, lead singer of indie pop band Meeting of Important People.

Admission is free.
