Pitt police said in a crime alert that two men approached two male students on Oakland Avenue near Bouquet Gardens around 1 a.m. today. One suspect pointed a handgun at the students and demanded their belongings, police said. The victims were not harmed, except for the loss of their belongings.
The suspects, who are still at large, ran North on Oakland Avenue toward Sennott Street then West on Sennott Street toward Atwood Street.
Police said the first suspect, who is between 5 foot 9 and 5 foot 10 and between 19 and 23 years old, wore a baggie gray hooded sweatshirt and baggie blue jeans.
The second suspect is about 5 foot 11, and between 19 and 23 years old. He wore a black baseball hat, a baggie gray hooded sweatshirt and baggie blue jeans.
