Applications are also available at www.votespa.com.’ ‘ ‘ ‘ ‘ The most efficient method of obtaining an absentee ballot, however, is to visit the Elections Division in person to complete an application. If voters are properly registered at that time, they will receive their absentee ballots to vote on the spot, and this process only takes a couple of minutes to complete. ‘ ‘ ‘ Nevertheless, to ensure that voters have enough time to complete and return their applications, they should request an absentee ballot as soon as possible. After the applications are processed, absentee ballots will then be mailed to applicants, and the ballots must be returned to the Elections Division by 5 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 31. ‘ ‘ ‘ Absentee ballots are only available to registered voters who will be absent from their municipality on Election Day or to those who cannot travel to the voting polls because of an illness or disability. Contact the Allegheny County Elections Division with any further questions or concerns.
