Down three, head coach Dave Wannstedt opted to pass on the two-yard line instead of kicking a field goal to send the game into the third extra period.

He didn’t go to LeSean McCoy either, who carried the Panthers (2-4) all game. McCoy ran for 165 yards and 3 touchdowns on 32 carries.

Navy quarterback Kaipo-Noa Kaheaku-Enhada carried the Midshipmen, taking 25 carries for 122 yards and a score, utilizing Navy’s effective option offense.
