Transfer students: Stick with it, be a “yes-man”

Transferring sucks.

To those of you who were lucky enough to make the right collegiate… Transferring sucks.

To those of you who were lucky enough to make the right collegiate choice the first time around, well done. Be nice to the transfer kids.

For those of us who realized early on that “whoops, I want to be somewhere else, someplace where there’s actually stuff to do,” my opening statement rings all too true.

Transferring to another school is like experiencing freshman year all over again, but worse. This time you aren’t in the company of 200-plus other kids who also have no idea what they’re doing. You don’t know anyone. You don’t know the name of any buildings or where they are. You don’t have any cliques or friends or anyone to see on the first day of classes to say “Hey, remember last year when
