That’s why it has created a Cold Self Care site online for Pitt students to compare symptoms and find treatments. The site – www.studhlth.pitt.edu/ColdSelfCare.html – gives detailed descriptions of the common cold, the flu, mono and other respiratory ailments that students can be afflicted with.

Through the site, students can plot their pains and discover what exactly it is they have. The Cold Self Care site also lists the proper steps that students should take in getting treatment.

At the bottom of the site is a list of symptoms with recommended over-the-counter medications for each one.
