-9:19 a.m. — A custodial supervisor in Salk Hall reported that he observed a man taking a box of supplies from an unlocked room. The suspect then ran down Sutherland Drive. An investigation is pending.

-10:13 a.m. — A woman in the William Pitt Union reported receiving harassing phone messages from her ex-husband.

-1:45 p.m. — A person reported that a jean jacket was stolen from the Frick Fine Arts building cloister area.

-3:17 p.m. — A man reported the theft of his ID from the Trees Hall gym. An investigation is pending.

-4:20 p.m. — Medics responded to a man in the Chevron Science Center with a hot-water burn on his arm. Medics transported him to UPMC Presbyterian Hospital’s emergency room for treatment.

-5:19 p.m. — A person reported that an electronic dictionary was stolen two weeks ago in the Cathedral of Learning.

Tuesday, March 30

-8:34 a.m. — Officers assisted city police at Salk Hall with a report of a Pitt ID stolen from an off-campus location.

-10:54 a.m. — A woman in the Cathedral of Learning reported the theft of her wallet. An investigation is pending.

-12:08 p.m. — Officers assisted city police with a report of a theft at an off-campus location. An investigation is pending.

-2:32 p.m. — Officers assisted city police with an investigation involving Internet fraud. An investigation is pending.

-3:29 p.m. — A woman reported the theft of her purse from Salk Hall. An investigation is pending.

-4:05 p.m. — Someone reported the smell of chemicals coming from Salk Hall vents. Pittsburgh Rescue and University Health and Safety personnel responded.

-7:40 p.m. — A man reported the theft of his palm pilot from Lawrence Hall.

-9:27 p.m. — Police cited Christian Brubaker, of 301-1 Sutherland Hall, in the Union for underage drinking.

-10:42 p.m. — A man reported something stolen from his car parked in the FB Lot near Forbes Hall. An investigation is pending.

Wednesday, March 31

-10:36 a.m. — An officer assisted city police with an arrest on Bigelow Boulevard in front of Hillman Library.

-11:06 a.m. — A woman in David Lawrence Hall reported the theft of her stereo.

-1:50 p.m. — An overheated fan motor activated an alarm in Gardner Steel Conference Center.

-2:34 p.m. — A person reported pictures missing from a Cathedral wall.

-9:15 p.m. — An officer assisted city police with a report of an off-campus harassment incident.

Thursday, April 1

-1:42 a.m. — Officers assisted city police with a reported robbery at Fifth and Oakland avenues.

-2:14 a.m. — Police cited a driver and towed a car for a violation at Forbes Avenue and Bouquet Street.

In Tuesday’s blotter, it was incorrectly reported that Cory Hartman was cited at 2:38 a.m. on March 28; he was actually cited at 2:38 p.m.
